Davide Consoli, researcher at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV), published a book review on Science Magazine (August 22 issue) of "The Entrepreneurial State Debunking Public vs. Private Sector Myths.", by Mariana Mazzucato.


Rodrigo Martínez Novo has been invited to give the closing speech of the Master of Innovation in Architecture of the University of Sevilla. Even if this master is focused on the technological dimension of innovation, they have a great interest in exploring the social implications of their field.
The title of the conference will be "Innovation ?... A trip into a controversial social idea" and it will take place on July 11th.


Jordi Molas-Gallard, Research Professor at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV), has been appointed Chair of the Working Group called "Research Policy and Programme Evaluation", of the Science Europe association.


Mabel Sánchez Barrioluengo' submission "Regional Human Capital and University Orientation: a case study on Spain" was awarded the Best Paper Prize at the 2014 EU-SPRI Conference "Science and Innovation Policy: Dynamics, Challenges, Responsibility and Practice" held in Manchester (UK).


Three researchers who develop their scientific work in centers of the "Universitat Politècnica de València" and the "Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)" have been selected to join the prestigious list


The researchers have been invited by OEI to the Ibero-American Science, Technology, University and Society Seminar, focused on research difficulties in universities and its relationship with the economic and social environment. Alejandra Boni - INGENIO(CSIC-UPV), has been awarded the 2013 Manuel Castillo Award for co-editing, along with Prof. Melanie Walker, the book 'Human Development Capabilities Re-imagining the university of the twenty first century'.


The Research Network 24 - Sociology of Science and Technology Network (SSTNET) of the European Sociological Association (ESA) and the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) organize on 12 and 13 June the workshop ‘Research Funding & Dynamics of Science’.

Este seminario pretende introducir al alumno en el ámbito de la difusión de resultados de investigación en medios científicos contemplando, fundamentalmente, los formatos más habitualmente utilizados para transmitir los resultados de la investigación científica, como son los artículos originales.


Philippe Laredo is Professor at the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and Directeur de Recherche in the Laboratoire Territoires, Techniques, Societes (LATTS) at the Ecole des Ponts in Paris. He has participated to numerous evaluations both at national and European level, and for instance has recently been a panel member of the FP6 2004 Monitoring panel, a rapporteur of the OECD-BMBF conference on evaluation (Berlin 2005) and a co-author of the recent OECD report on recent trends on evaluation.


The European Network of Indicators Designers (ENID) aims to facilitate and promote the cooperation between institutions and individuals actively engaged in designing, constructing, producing as well as using, and interpreting Science and Technology Indicators (S&T Indicators). In order to fulfil its objective ENID sets out to promote the following activities:
