Ugo Rizzo es Profesor del Departamento de Economía en la Universidad de Ferrara. Doctor Europaeus en Economía Aplicada por la Università di Ferrara y Master of Science en “Management of Science, Technology and Innovation”, University of Manchester (2009).
Durante su estancia en Ingenio trabajará con el investigador Davide Consoli en el siguiente estudio "the effects of the School of Mechatronics Engineering of the University of Reggio Emilia in the North of Italy, constituted in late Nineties, on the innovative abilities of firms belonging to the mechatronics cluster of Reggio Emilia and to the regional productive system of the Emilia-Romagna region."
