The presentation draws on experiences from project using co-creation as an approach to engage with users and citizens by research collaboration and through artistic work. This includes research studies involving citizens and service providers in search for new mobility services in the project Mistra Sustainable Accessibility and Mobility Services (Mistra SAMS) and co-creative work between scientist and artists in development of a contribution to an art exhibition entitled ”Symbiosis” focusing on water infrastructures in the urban context. The latter example included dialogues discussing urban climate change challenges and adaptation responses with local policy-makers, engineering students and visitors. Experiences from these projects, with focus on the Swedish context, are contrasted with the project Econavipesca, involving local community representatives and universities in Colombia, applying co-creation as a strategy for local community dialogues.
