Teatro científico, exposiciones, gymkanas de química, concursos de fotografía y narrativa científica,charlas con investigadores, graffiti científico creativo, visitas guiadas, rutas científicas por la ciudad... Son muchas las propuestas que los centros de investigación del CSIC ofrecerán durante estos días.

Eu-SPRI Annual Conference 2013 ‘THE MANAGEMENT OF INNOVATION POLICIES: new forms of collaboration in policy design, implementation and evaluation’ Madrid, 10 -12 April 2013


Monica Edwards won the joint equal first prize in ‘Science Educational  Materials’ Awards (IBM Award) with the project ‘We are all Valu’. This enjoyable and innovative proposal is oriented toward the general public and consists in a role-playing game for scientific reasoning decision-making related to climate change and sustainability issues.  It contains learning objects that can be implemented in mobile devices and/or adapted to paper format.

 


David Barberá and Fernando Jiménez, researchers at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV), have been awarded the prestigious Faculty of 1000 (F1000) academic prize for their article “Mapping the Importance of the Real World”. The article, which was published in the leading journal “Research Policy”, was co-authored by Itziar Castelló from the Copenhagen Business School. The paper presents a study of the evolution of medical technologies and uses a new technique of patent analysis.


The UAM-Accenture Chair in Economics and Management of Innovation and INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) are organizing the 2013 Conference of the Eu-SPRI Forum. The Conference aims to encourage dialogue between academics and practitioners to improve innovation policy design, implementation and evaluation. The Conference will offer keynote speeches, parallel thematic sessions, roundatable discussions, special activities for young researchers and ample space for participants to interact.


Mónica Edwards has been invited to be a plenary speaker at the 7th international conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, which will take place in Universidad Abat Oliba CEU, Barcelona, Spain, the 25th-28th June 2012.

She will give a 30 min lecture about social innovation, technological development and sustainability, Science-Technology-Society-Environment issues, science education, competences and skills development, especially in creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.


Cristian Matti will present at Eu-SPRI 2012 conference , called this year “Towards Transformative Governance? Responses to mission-oriented innovation policy paradigms” (Karlsruhe - Germany), which will take place in June, 12-13 2012, the following work:


On May 18, 2012, Ignacio Fernández de Lucio, Director of INGENIO, gave the conference “Does external knowledge sourcing matter for innovation? Evidence from the Spanish manufacturing industry”, invited by the CIRST (Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie) of Montréal.


Dr. Adela García Aracil has been invited as a lecturer for the research workshop on High Quality Research Capability and Output to be held in Manila (Philippines) from June 18th to June 20th, 2012. This is a follow-up workshop to the joint CHED-World Bank seminar on Higher Education Research.

She will explain the case study of Europe: "how European policies and institutions have worked to enhance research".

This workshop is organized by the Philippines Institute for Development Studies.


Professor Nabil Amara from Université Laval, Quebec (CANADA) is conducting a three months stay at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) in the framework of “Programa de Estancias de Profesores e Investigadores Extranjeros en Régimen de Año Sabático en Centros Españoles” funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.


Ingenio contributes to the TEDx conference series, based in Valencia, whose main theme is “Emotions worth spreading”.

El Instituto INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) junto con la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, coordinan el Proyecto CESAR (Contribución de la Educación Superior de América Latina a las Relaciones con el Entorno Socioeconómico).


The circulation of PhD researchers is an important element of the training activities of the Eu-SPRI Forum network. It is part of the development of the European training platform which Eu-SPRI Forum aims to develop in the area of science and innovation policy studies. It addresses our objective of offering a European pathway to PhD researchers in this field.
EU-SPRI Forum now invites PhD researchers to apply for the next round of PhD circulation.
This call is open to doctoral researchers in their second year of PhD thesis or beyond
