Acerca de
Adela García Aracil es Investigadora Científica del CSIC adscrita al instituto INGENIO (CSIC-Universitat Politècnica de València). Dra. en Economía por la Universitat de València en octubre de 2003. Tiene amplia experiencia en el área de Economía de la Educación, en concreto en el análisis empírico de la contribución de las universidades en su entorno socioeconómico considerando aspectos de innovación social, transferencia de conocimiento, el desarrollo de las competencias de capital humano-social-cultural y la influencia de la IA en los objetivos de aprendizaje de los jóvenes y su transición laboral.
Desde 1999 hasta 2001, trabajó en el Banco Mundial en el departamento de Desarrollo Social y Humano, y desde entonces colabora como consultora externa. Su participación en los proyectos europeos CHEERS (IV Programa Marco) y REFLEX (VI Programa Marco) hizo que empezara su trayectoria en el análisis de las competencias y determinación de objetivos de aprendizaje, llevándole a liderar proyectos competitivos tanto de carácter nacional como internacional, como el proyecto FOSTERC (2016-2020), iSHRINK (2020-2023) y Virtual Hackathon (2021-2023) de Erasmus+, y proyectos como 3E4Youth (2014-2016), SUISIA (2019-2021) y UTRANSFER (2024-2027) del Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades. Ha publicado en revistas de prestigio internacional en el área de Ciencias Sociales de la Educación.
Pertenece activamente al Grupo de Asesoramiento de Desastres y Emergencias (GADE) del CSIC, donde es coordinadora de Riesgos Sociales. Nombramiento Comité Asesor. Ha ofrecido asesoramiento en la DANA de Valencia, apagón nacional, simulacro volcánico de Garachico (Tenerife) y en el incendio de Las Médulas (León).
Adicionalmente, ha colaborado en el programa de Dinamización y Formación para fomentar el intercambio y la transferencia de conocimiento en el sistema español de Innovación (Programa DINA) del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, promoviendo el uso de metodologías activas docentes a través de la resolución de problemas, el estímulo de la creatividad y del pensamiento crítico. Desde el curso académico 2017/2018 es responsable del curso “Técnicas Cuantitativas y Cualitativas para la Investigación”, curso MOOC en la plataforma edx, ofrecido en la UPV con convenio con Massachussetss Institute of Technology (MIT). Desde el curso 2022/2023 es colaboradora del curso “Virtual Hackathon”, curso MOOC en la plataforma UPVx ofrecido por la UPV.
Como parte de su colaboración continua con la Universitat de Valencia, pertenece al equipo editorial de la revista CEIR – Creativity and Educational Innovation Review y ha creado en la Universitat de Valencia la Unidad Asociada UTRANSFER del CSIC por el INGENIO, siendo responsable de la misma la profesora Rosa Isusi Fagoaga (UV). Adicionalmente, se generó y se registró en el CSIC la RED UNIVERSITIS en el 2022.
