The administrative staff at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) took part in a practical training course on the use of artificial intelligence (AI), delivered by Wenceslao Arroyo, a researcher at the centre.

Over the course of the three-hour session, participants explored topics ranging from the fundamentals of AI, addressing questions such as “What is AI?”, to more advanced issues, including the responsible use of AI and the data protection considerations involved when handling sensitive information.

The session had a practical focus. Through real-life examples and hands-on exercises, participants learned how to configure and customise AI assistants, interact with them effectively, and apply them to everyday tasks such as drafting emails, analysing documents, searching for information using reliable sources, and consulting internal procedures.

As Arroyo explained, AI does not replace the judgement of the person using it; rather, it saves time on repetitive, low-cognitive-load tasks.”
