About

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and while there conducted research in the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre - one of 11 International Research Centres for the Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health supported by the International Olympic Committee. The research focused on implementing injury prevention programs in youth sport - particularly soccer, ice hockey, and in school settings. She also worked clinically as a kinesiologist, working with physiotherapists to treat injuries and supporting patients with exercise prescription. Shifting from research and clinical settings, she spent 6 years in the non-profit sector with Ever Active, a charity that promoted health and well-being in schools and communities across Alberta, Canada. In 2025 she completed a Master of Information degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada which culminated in research on the relationship between scientific capital, publication fit, and journal scope using bibliometrics. When she’s not in the office, she likes to spend her time trail running, climbing, baking, knitting, playing any sport, or trying to find the world’s best coffees and croissants.
