About
Jordi Molas-Gallart is a Research Professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and a Visiting Fellow at SPRU (University of Sussex), where he obtained his PhD and worked for around 15 years as a researcher and lecturer. His research interests focus mainly on the evaluation of scientific activity and innovation policies, having previously concentrated on the study of the relationship between military production and technological innovation.
He has led and contributed to numerous research projects for a wide range of organizations, including the Swedish innovation agency (Vinnova), the Government of Catalonia, the UK Medical Research Council (MRC), the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the British and French Ministries of Defence, the European Commission, and the Russell Group of UK universities, among others.
He served as Editor of Research Evaluation, a journal published by Oxford University Press, from 2013 to 2020, and as President of the European Network of Indicator Designers (ENID) from 2015 to 2019. He has contributed to numerous European Commission expert groups and chaired the Science Europe working group on research policy and programme evaluation.
