Diana Velasco is a researcher at INGENIO (CSIC–Universitat Politècnica de València) and Deputy Director of the Deep Transitions Lab. Her work bridges innovation studies, sustainability transitions, and socio-ecological transformation, with a focus on methodologies that enable systemic change. Trained as an anthropologist and systems engineer, she holds PhDs in Science and Technology Studies (University of Edinburgh) and Local Development and International Cooperation (Universitat Politècnica de València).

Diana has extensive experience in academic leadership, having served as Director of Research and Innovation at Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá) and Academic Vice‑Rector at Universidad de Ibagué (Colombia). She has led global, experimental collaborations with policymakers, investors, and civil‑society actors through the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) and the Deep Transitions Lab (DTL), advancing pathways toward more just and sustainable futures.
