Promoting regional sustainability transitions through transformative innovation policy: the Shared Agendas’ case (PROTIP)
The general objective of PROTIP is to contribute to the definition, implementation, and promotion of regional Shared Agendas (SA) in the Catalonian region. SAs are collective initiatives around local and regional challenges (usually related to Sustainable Development Goals) fostered through the Research and Innovation Strategy for the Smart Specialisation of Catalonia by the regional government. The contributions of the project are threefold: theoretically, to strengthen the conceptualisation and practice of the transformative innovation policy framework; practically, to provide new methods and tools to design better and implement SAs; and politically, to accelerate sustainability transitions by replicating and scaling up SAs in other regions.
